Center Court Increases Hours of Operation
March 26, 2012Center Court will remain open after lunch on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for a new day part called Center Court Mid Day starting Monday, March 26. This change is wonderful for commuters, faculty and staff, providing another dining option after lunch and between classes. -
Monthly Sustainability Forum: “The Energy-Food-Water Nexus” on March 30
March 22, 2012IIT Wanger Institute for Sustainable Energy Research (WISER) and the Office of Campus Energy and Sustainability will co-sponsor the March Campus Sustainability Forum from noon-1:30 pm on Friday, March 30, 2012 in the MTCC Ballroom. Ye Accepts Postdoc at Syracuse University
March 22, 2012Qi Ye, Ph.D. candidate in applied mathematics, has accepted a two-year Philip T. Church postdoctoral position in the department of mathematics at Syracuse University, where he will be teaching and conducting research with Professors Lixin Shen and Yuesheng Xu on problems in computational harmonic analysis. -
Martin Klaeschen Wins Eckhart Park Design Competition
March 21, 2012Eckhart Park Advisory Council recently announced winners for the Noble Square park’s design competition. The Eckhart Park Design Competition called for submissions to recognize donors to the park’s redevelopment plan. Adjunct Associate Professor Martin Klaeschen and partner Carl Ray Miller’s design focused on a donor recognition wall with an earthen mound that would act as both stage and seating for park activities. -
IIT Chicago-Kent Wins Seventh Annual National Ethics Trial Competition

Help The Tornado Victims of Harrisburg, Illinois
March 20, 2012On February 29 a powerful F4 tornado, 200 yards wide and packing 170 mph winds devastated the small city of Harrisburg, Illinois located in downstate Illinois killing seven people. FEMA denied disaster funding to the city stating Harrisburg should receive assistance from local government and community groups to rebuild. -
Humanities Department Hosts Women’s History Month Open House March 28
March 19, 2012On Wednesday, March 28 the Humanities Department will host a Women's History Open House Event in the Siegel Hall, room 218 (conference room) from 3 - 4:45 pm. Everyone is welcome: students, staff, faculty, and all genders. There will be food, good conversation, and handouts on women's history resources, including a pocket timeline of interesting events in women's history put together by Humanities faculty.
