IIT Alumnus Ed Kaplan Announces $10 Million Challenge Grant for Planned Institute Focused On Innovation and Entrepreneurship
March 20, 2014Illinois Institute of Technology President John L. Anderson announced that alumnus Ed Kaplan, successful entrepreneur, innovator and long-time member of the Board of Trustees, along with his wife Carol, have created a $10 million Challenge Grant to establish the Ed Kaplan Family Institute for Innovation and Tech Entrepreneurship. -
Illinois Institute of Technology Names Two Architects With Chicago Ties For Planned Innovation Institute
March 7, 2014Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel joined Illinois Tech President John L. Anderson today to announce that John Ronan Architects and Shepley Bulfinch will design the planned Ed Kaplan Family Institute for Innovation and Tech Entrepreneurship on the University’s Main Campus in Bronzeville. -

Update: Three Architecture Students Have Work Displayed at Lubeznik Center for the Arts
August 23, 2013“Cash Your Vote” for your favorite design! In a unique partnership with the Lubeznik Center for the Arts (LCA), IIT College of Architecture students designed and built donation boxes that have been displayed at the center this summer as part of Paul Pettigrew's IIT Architecture & Furniture project to help raise funds for the center. The three projects that made the final cut for the exhibition were conceived by Adam Weissert, Marina Khakhayeva and Maria Savrasova. -
