King Ankobea-Ansah (MSc. MAE ’22) Awarded Yanmar/SAE Scholarship
October 3, 2023Congratulations to Ph.D. candidate King Ankobea-Ansah (MSc. MAE ‘22), who is the 2023/24 recipient of the Yanmar/SAE Scholarship. Yanmar America Corporation is the world's largest manufacturer of non-vehicle-use diesel engines. Given the urgency of limited fuel supplies and environmental concerns over continued use of fossil fuel, Yanmar established this scholarship to help promote their motto: "to conserve energy is to serve mankind.” -
Come to Faculty Lounge on Open Educational Resources on October 18
October 3, 2023Open Educational Resources (OER) are teaching, learning, and research materials that are freely available to use, adapt, and share. They can include textbooks, articles, videos, simulations, and other resources. At this Faculty Lounge, Stephanie Fletcher, a librarian from Galvin Library with expertise in OER resources, will discuss how to discover, use, and share OER. Edoarda Corradi dell' Acqua, Senior Lecturer of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering, will share her experience of adapting, creating, and teaching with OER. -

September 26, 2023The Office of Marketing and Communications will be offering professional headshots for Illinois Tech faculty and staff on Wednesday, October 4, from 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. and Thursday, October 5, from noon–4 p.m. Photos will be taken on the 13th floor of Michael Paul Galvin Tower in the M&C office. The photos will be used on university/college/department websites, and may also appear in marketing print materials and social media posts. -
