Men’s Tennis Swept Last Saturday

Playing outside in the cold elements did not phase the Scarlet Hawks on Saturday, as the Scarlet Hawks opened the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) slate against Lakeland and Marian Universities. The Scarlet Hawks (10-8, 2-0 NACC) down both schools by scores of 9-0.

The Illinois Tech women's lacrosse team went on the road to Benedictine University Saturday afternoon for a Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) contest. The Scarlet Hawks (5-2, 4-1 MWLC) came out flying and were able to maintain momentum throughout the game, besting the Eagles (0-9, 0-6 MWLC) 17-3.

The Illinois Tech women's lacrosse team played its second match in as many days on Wednesday night, taking on a tough Aurora Spartans squad in a Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) contest. Trailing by five goals in the second half, the Scarlet Hawks (4-2, 3-1 MWLC) rattled off six straight goals to beat the Spartans (3-4, 2-1 MWLC), including a game-winner in overtime from Isabella Rubin.

On Saturday the Scarlet Hawks put on a clinic against the Marian Sabres in a Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) match. With Shanie Scoles leading the way, Tech (3-1, 3-0 MWLC) downed the Sabres (3-5, 2-3 MWLC) 20-4 at Stuart Field morning.
