Rebecca Wingate (M.S. CE ’12) Awarded Fulbright Fellowship
June 11, 2013The International Center is pleased to announce IIT's second Fulbright recipient in its history. Rebecca Wingate, a recent alumna who received her master's degree from IIT College of Engineering Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering last December, will be going to Hepia in Switzerland in September for her project titled "Lean Construction and Railway Infrastructure Maintenance." -

Jingyu Lee Awarded Thornton Tomasetti Foundation National Scholarship
April 26, 2013Undergraduate architecture student Jingyu Lee has been awarded a $10,000 Thornton Tomasetti Foundation National Scholarship. One of three winners in 2013, the scholarship review committee commended Lee “for his exceptional academic success and demonstrated interest in the integration of engineering and architecture” as pursued through his rigorous work as a dual major in architecture and civil and environmental engineering. -
Architecture Undergrad Taylor Lilly Wins Gilman Scholarship for Study in Beijing
April 26, 2013Congratulations to Taylor Lilly, a third year architecture major, on earning the Gilman Scholarship for Study Abroad! Taylor plans to spend 10 weeks this summer in Beijing, learning Mandarin. As part of his intensive language program through IES, he will have the opportunity to meet and practice his language skills with Chinese students and take field trips to Mt. Wutai and Mongolia. -
The 100 Club of Chicago, which supports families of fire, police and emergency medical personnel who have died in the line of duty, is partnering with Chicago universities including IIT to provide scholarships, NBC 5 News reports.

Gilman Scholarships for Study Abroad Deadline Nears
February 27, 2013Interested in studying abroad? You have less than one week to submit applications for the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program. This scholarship is designed to help underrepresented students study abroad. Online applications for study abroad programs taking place during the summer 2013 and fall academic year 2013–14 terms must be submitted by Tuesday, March 5 by 11:59 pm Central Standard Time for consideration.
