Successful Summer for Computer Science Group
August 29, 2012Xian-He Sun, chair and professor of the Department of Computer Science, was an invited keynote speaker at two conferences recently. Additionally over the summer, Sun and his team were awarded a three-year collaboration grant for $842,298 from the National Science Foundation for “Decoupled Execution Paradigm for Data-Intensive High-End Computing.” -
New Science and Math Teacher Student Organization

IIT Professor and Student in the Pacific Island Region for PISCES Project
August 3, 2012Laura Hosman, assistant professor of political science, and Simon Brauer, a student in the Department of Social Sciences, are deploying the ENPRO-developed solar computer lab-in-a-box in the Pacific island region as members of the Pacific Islands Schools, Connectivity, Education, and Solar (PISCES) Project. The PISCES Project team will be on Guam and Chuuk until August 11. -

August 3, 2012Contemporary Constitutional Issues (PS 318), taught by a full-time practicing attorney and IIT alumna, explores how the Supreme Court makes decisions about our basic rights. Focusing on the Court’s own decisions, we will explore past cases, those en route to the Court, and future matters that will undoubtedly be decided by the Court in our lifetime.
