Alumnus Robert Borlick to Present WISER Seminar on Electricity Markets

The lecture "Demand Response in Wholesale Power Markets" will be held on Friday, September 21 at 1:00 pm in IIT Tower, 16th floor. The joint lecture is co-hosted by WISER, the Robert W. Galvin Center for Electricity Innovation, IIT Armour College of Engineering, and IIT Stuart School of Business and will feature energy consultant Robert L. Borlick (EE ′59). The lecture is also provided as part of IIT Homecoming activities.

WISER to Co-Sponsor 2012 UIC Summer Institute on Sustainability and Energy

IIT’s Wanger Institute for Sustainable Energy Research (WISER) will serve as one of the co-sponsors of the 2012 Summer Institute on Sustainability and Energy (SISE), to be hosted by University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) on August 9 - 17. The SISE theme, “Election 2012: Energy, Economics, and Environment” will feature an intense interdisciplinary workshop for graduate and senior-level undergraduate students.

CTBUH-IIT Team Wins Grant for Green Wall Facade Research

The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) and several members of the Illinois Institute of Technology faculty have been awarded a grant from the Wanger Institute for Sustainable Energy Research (WISER) to study the energy-saving effectiveness of green wall façade systems.
