    Announcing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion E-Learning Training for Students

    As part of Illinois Tech's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, all faculty, staff, and students have access to 10 e-learning modules on Blackboard that will take 10–12 minutes to complete. Students are expected to complete the modules, but the required due date for student completion will not be enforced until next semester. Students are encouraged to review the modules now and are expected to have them all completed by the middle of the Fall 2023 semester.

    Generative AI chatbots (ChatGPT in particular) can be asked to generate citations or references, but when they do the end result may contain errors or be completely false. If you encounter writing sources, citations or URLs you think may be fictional, Galvin librarians can help. We can even check if a link or URL was ever functional, or if it’s merely broken and/or outdated. Send your suspect items to us at library@iit.edu and we’ll use our expertise to evaluate them for you.
