Discontinuation of the RAVE Guardian Application
April 9, 2026As of June 30, 2026, the RAVE Guardian mobile application will be discontinued. Emergency alerts will continue to be delivered via email, text message, and phone call. All members of the Illinois Tech community are strongly encouraged to opt in to receive emergency alert text messages to ensure timely notifications. -

January 8, 2019Illinois Tech has begun implementing a new software platform for alerts starting Tuesday, January 3. Rave, an industry leader in emergency communication technology, is replacing Regroup as our software platform. -

December 18, 2013The university requires that all faculty, staff, and students provide up-to-date addresses, telephone numbers, and emergency contact information. The goal is to enable the university to reach emergency contacts in case of a personal emergency for an IIT community member. The annual update of this information will begin January 10, 2014. -
IIT Alert App for iPad – New Installation Required
July 22, 2013The IIT Alert app for iOS devices (iPads, iPods, and iPhones) will expire in July 2013. IIT iPad/iPod users must download and install the new version of the app in order to receive emergency notifications on their devices in the future. The app is accessible within the myIIT portal under the Training and Support tab in the "Download IIT Apps" channel. -

July 16, 2013As some of you may know, an IIT Alert and All Clear messages were issued on Tuesday, July 16 in the early afternoon. The IIT Alert system was put in place several years ago to notify the IIT community by cellular phone and email of any potential safety threats to students, faculty and staff. If you are not signed up to receive IIT Alert messages, please take a moment to register your mobile phone and email to receive these important alerts at https://www.iit.edu/iitalert. If you were signed up for IIT Alert and did not receive the July 16 messages (two messages), please email Jeannie Hartig, vice president for marketing and communications, at jhartig@iit.edu. Please note the device (phone type and carrier, or email) to which you should have received the alert. -
