    IIT Ranked #5 Among Midwestern Colleges in the US By Salary Potential

    Payscale released their 2011-2012 College Salary Report, ranking Illinois Institute of Technology #5 among Midwestern colleges in terms of mid-career median salary for bachelor's graduates without higher degrees. IIT bachelor's degree holders command an median mid-career salary of $96,000 and a $52,000 starting median salary.

  • Campus Closures and Restrictions for NATO Summit

    The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) will hold its 25th summit in Chicago on May 20-21, 2012. Leaders from NATO member countries are scheduled to attend the two-day event being held at McCormick Place and other locations in the city. In addition to the many travel and security restrictions put in place by city, state, and federal authorities, the Main and Downtown Campuses of Illinois Institute of Technology plan building closures and access restrictions from Thursday, May 17 through Tuesday morning, May 22.

  • Golf Outing to Raise Funds for IIT Housing Scholarships

    IIT will host a "Day of Play" golf outing to raise funds to support scholarships for on-campus housing to underprivileged students from the Chicago Public Schools. This year 151 such students are enrolled at IIT.
